For our Wellspring™ futon mattresses, we use materials that originate from recycled substances, renewable resources and ecologically safe products. These futon mattresses are made with a revolutionary new fiber generated from 2-liter soda pop bottles and prevents millions of bottles from ending up in landfills. By ordering a Wellspring you can increase your sleeping pleasure while helping improve the environment.
Mattress Ticking/Cases
The ticking is a 7oz. cotton/poly canvas. The manufacturing of these cases is first rate and the expert sewing produces square corners, perfect for fitted sheets. Only the finest quality materials are selected. They're free from added chemicals and meet the highest standards.
Our Supernatural futon is made with a 7oz. 100% organically grown cotton canvas case.
The Tufts
All double and queen mattresses are manufactured with over 24 tufts per mattress. A quality, bonded tufting twine is triple-knotted to add longevity to every mattress. Hemp twine is used for our Supernatural futon. The tufting action pre-compresses the filling materials for a consistent and even loft.
Fire Retardent
All Wellspring™ mattresses meet Federal fire safety standards without the use of added chemicals. It is the quality of our materials that offers a natural barrier. No chemical dust comes between you and the mattress.

Wellspring™ Fiber
Our exclusive Wellspring™ fiber is a revolutionary material that utilizes the second use of plastics. It is a virgin fiber that is generated from recycled polyethylene, familiar to you as 2-liter soda pop bottles. It is clean, odor free, and very resilient. The fibers look and feel incredibly like cotton; fluffy, soft and very fine textured. The Wellspring fibers are amazingly light, allowing you to move the mattress with ease. Our recycled fiber is non-allergenic and extremely comfortable.
E-Foam
E-Foam is our name for the premium foam rubber we use in several of the Wellspring™ futons. It is today's most environmentally friendly foam, produced without using any harmful CFCs of methylene chloride. E-Foam uses liquid carbon dioxide as its only blowing agent. E-Foam is manufactured to be odor free.
