If I buy a frame, does it include a mattress and cover?

No, unless you are buying a complete package. The best way to buy a futon is to pick your frame, mattress and cover all separately. However, we have put together complete packages for those who do not want to fuss with picking everything out.

Does the futon frame arrive assembled?

No, you will be required to assemble your futon. The wall hugger futons come partially assembled, and require an allen wrench that is provided. Our economy line of futons require a Phillips-head screwdriver, and are partially assembled or not assembled at all. Don't worry, all of our futon frames come with the best instructions. You will not be trying to decipher hieroglyphs, and if you get stuck you can always give a call for advice since we have assembled so many over the years.

What are the shipping costs?

Those are calculated in the checkout process. We really wish we could say we are smart enough to calculate that stuff off the top of our heads, but we found this awesome widget that does all that calculating for us so we can provide you better service.

How and when is my order shipped?

We ship the frames via common carrier, which may take 2-7 business days to deliver once shipped. It will generally be 2-7 business days before an item is shipped. We will advise you by email as to the shipping date. Mattresses and covers will be shipped separately from the frame. Therefore, you may receive items from FedEx or UPS on different days.

How does my futon frame arrive? 

The frame is delivered via curbside delivery. It is your responsibility to bring the frame in from the curb to your house. If shipped separately, your mattress and cover will ship FedEx or UPS. Most shipping companies can provide you with "white glove delivery" where they assemble the item for you in your home and place it in the final position. That itself will cost approximately $250. We have found that most customers are comfortable with doing the assembly themselves, even to their surprise.

How do I pay for my order? 

Most of our customers pay by credit card and we accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover through our secure server. If you want to pay by check, shoot us an email and we can make arrangements for you. If you want to pay with cash, you will just have to trot yourself down to our store in Kansas City, MO and see our beautiful faces.

How do I know that my order has been received and that it is correct? 

We will confirm your order by email. Please, carefully check that all of the information on the order is correct including shipping address, phone number, products ordered, quantities, and sizes of all of the items. If there are any errors, please notify us immediately.

If I order multiple items, will they arrive at the same time? 

Yes, no, and maybe. There may be a few days difference in arrival time. We ship from a number of different locations throughout the U.S. We let our buddies in the shipping business take care of the delivery part, so that we can offer you great products and service.

Can I specify a specific date for delivery for my frame? 

The trucking company will contact you for a delivery window. We can ship to arrive a day or two before the day you want and you can then make an appointment for your day of choice. Please note this is not guaranteed. If you want a guaranteed day we can provide that for an additional fee. Please contact us for that service.

Will you ever have backorders? 

Infrequently, an item you order will temporarily be out of stock. If it is, we will notify you via email. We will let you know when the item is expected to be back in stock. We will advise you if a similar item is available. We will also provide the option of canceling your order or allowing us to ship it when it is back in stock. You make the decision.

Can I return my purchase? 

Futon frames have a 30-day limited money-back return policy. See our terms HERE. The futon mattresses we sell are not returnable due to federal law. Some futon covers are special order, made to order at the manufacturer specifically for your order and therefore not returnable. We want to make sure you are going to be absolutely, positively happy with your purchase. So, if you have any questions, CONTACT US. In the event you return an item, you are responsible for making sure the product arrives to us in the original packaging, undamaged. We recommend buying insurance from the shipper for this reason.
